HEPTADEMIC REDUX WARNING! Danger of epic proportions! Everyone out of your houses, onto the streets and into Little Mountain Studios! A deadly virus is sweeping through the city with a fervour not seen since the 2010 Olympics! The government has ordered that all citizens leave the city!!! Gather your family (but leave the pets behind) and go directly to Little Mountain Studios where you will be checked for infection and cleared to await deportation. Once inside the studio, do not leave without the direct order from an official. If these instructions are carefully followed you are guaranteed safety...as well as a night of thrills, chills and, hopefully, no ills. “It's like “Outbreak” meets “The Decameron.” Wild!” - David Hudgins Originally conceived in 2008 as a 4th Term project at the nationally renowned Studio 58, Heptademic Redux is a remount and re-visioning of the original production. The project was a creative collaboration between the cast and original director, Rachel Peake. Heptademic Redux follows seven strangers who are quarantined during an epidemic. As the days go on fantasy and reality blur with often hilarious and at times horrific results. The audience will bear witness to the fantasy lives of the characters: which vary from a spousal homicide fantasy, a trek through the Amazonian jungle, an ill-fated trip to the Oscars and even a raucous hip-hop concert. All of which will be achieved with a minimal set, imaginative lighting and the vast imaginations of an enthusiastic cast. Heptademic Redux will appeal to all types of theatre-goers. “The students who created "Heptademic" at Studio 58 were an exceptional bunch. They excelled in physical theatre, comedy and creations that were fabulously hilarious and weird.”- David Bloom Heptademic Redux is directed by Anthony F. Ingram, this year's Jessie Award winner for Best Actor (Small Theatre) for his role in Frozen. Rachel Peake, a multiple Jessie Award Nominee for The Project and co-artistic director of Solo Collective, serves as dramaturge. Costume design is provided by Christopher David Gauthier, the recipient of the 2009 Earl Klein Memorial Scholarship and a graduate of Studio 58. And sound is provided by Joel Grinke, who recently came off a successful North American tour of Green Thumb Theatre’s Wired. The cast is comprised of the Fall 2009 graduating class from Studio 58, which include the founding members of Hardline Productions.
