The conspirators, fearful for the Republic, tormented by uncertainty and driven by questionable motives, plot his assassination. His brutal killing unleashes a tide of violence that drags thousands into a bloody civil war. JULIUS CAESAR investigates the intoxicating effects of power and the dangers of idealism. In this Studio 58 production the world of the play is brought to life by the accomplished creative team of Scott Bellis (The Comedy of Errors, Richard III), Amir Ofek (STEW, Arts Club Theatre, Chemainus), Naomi Sider (The Comedy of Errors, The Merchant of Venice, Dogeaters), Alan Brodie (6 Miniature Tragedies, King Lear, Hair) Michael Sider (Electric Company, Radix, The Only Animal) and Owen Belton (Touchstone Theatre, Bard on the Beach, Headlines Theatre).
