Having been produced by the Arts Club five times since 2005, Disney's Beauty and the Beast is a proven favourite among audiences and creative teams alike. Many of the cast, crew, and designers are returning for the company's sixth production of the musical.
Jonathan Winsby returns to his role as the Beast, and Susan Anderson (Mrs. Potts), Shawn Macdonald (Cogsworth), and Bernard Cuffling (Maurice) will all reprise their original roles. Kamyar Pazandeh also returns as Gaston from last season's production, along with Meghan Gardiner as Madame de la Grande Bouche and a number of ensemble members. Michelle Bardach (last seen as Sophie in the hit Arts Club production of Mamma Mia!) joins the cast as Belle.
Discover the magic behind the castle walls in this brilliant adaptation of the Academy Award–winning animated film. This beloved fairy-tale spectacle will thrill audiences with its show-stopping musical numbers, stunning sets, and lavish costumes.
On remounting this production as part of her first season, Artistic Director Ashlie Corcoran said, "Watching the audiences of all ages delight in Beauty and the Beast last season—as well as seeing the pride our production team took over their beautiful work on this show—committed me to programming this beloved musical again."
Director Bill Millerd added, "Beauty and the Beast has been one of the company's most successful musicals and I am pleased that Artistic Director Ashlie Corcoran has decided to invite us back for a revival of last season's wonderful production."
