FEBRUARY 2020 | Volume 188
The Evergreen Cultural Centre is proud to present First Impression Theatre’s Forever Plaid, originally directed, written, and choreographed by Stuart Ross. The show opens Tuesday, February 11, 2020 and runs until Saturday, February 15, 2020 with six performances. Performances at 8pm + 3pm Saturday.
Forever Plaid features Hayden Clewes, Matthew Simmons, Nick Heffelfinger, and Jeff Hoffman. This production was directed for First Impressions theatre by Claude A. Giroux, with musical direction by Gordon Roberts, and musical continuity supervision and arrangements by James Raitt.
Forever Plaid is one of off-Broadway’s most popular and successful musicals, a deliciously fun and funny revue chock-full of classic barbershop quartet harmonies and pitch-perfect melodies! A quartet of male singers takes a detour to heaven on the way to their first big concert. They posthumously take the stage for one final gig in this goofy nostalgic celebration of the ‘50s. Fantastically funny and timelessly tuneful, their close harmonies and charming choreography take you on a journey through your favourite pop hits of the 1950s, such as “Moments to Remember,” “Heart and Soul,” and “Love is a Many Splendored Thing.” Forever Plaid is a musical comedy treat for the whole family!
