A young English literature professor from Queen's University holds fast to the belief that Othello and Romeo and Juliet were originally intended as comedies. She fantasizes a journey into her unconscious mind, and finds herself lost in the two Shakespearian tragedies. With the help of Desdemona and Juliet she seeks the lost wise fool, and the truth of herself. MacDonald received the Governor General's Award, the Floyd S.
